Golf Channel Interview

Q. Ben and Angus, you guys kept grinding out there. With two holes to go, you were two down. You made two great pars coming in to get a halve in this match and a half a point. How big is that for your team at this point?

ANGUS FLANAGAN: I think it's massive at the moment we were just working out, we were four down through 5 or something like that, and we were just kind of grinding it out, heads down and just keep committing and kind of let them make the mistakes. In the end there was a couple mistakes from both of us, but we kind of made some good pars in the end, but it's big for the team and good momentum going into the afternoon.

Q. Typically as a team you're very good in foursomes. What do you need to do in these individual matches this afternoon in order to take the Americans down?

BEN SCHMIDT: I feel like we're all playing pretty good. I just feel like we just don't need to make any mistakes, just missing the greens in the right spots and just keeping it in the fairways off the tees. I feel like if we do that, we should be pretty good for the afternoon. We're all playing great and all looking confident after this morning's good result, as well.

Q. Seminole is a tremendous venue for these matches. How much fun are you guys having here this week?

ANGUS FLANAGAN: I'm loving it. It's a great group of guys, and Seminole is an awesome host. I've been fortunate enough to play here a couple times, but this is definitely the best I've seen it, and it's been a great host, so thank you to them.
