Q. With Stewart Hagestad. You played tremendous golf today. This is your third Walker Cup appearance. How does it feel to be one of the heros of this kind of a team?
STEWART HAGESTAD: I just feel lucky to just be a part of it. The boys are so good and they're so motivating and inspiring to watch. They're going to go on to have amazing pro careers.
I feel very lucky to be a part of it. But gosh, what a special week this has been.
Q. You're 30 years old, career amateur. What motivates you to keep your game the at the level where you're able to come and compete at a Walker Cup?
STEWART HAGESTAD: There is a lot in that. I'm going to reassess some goals after this week. I've done a lot of things I had never dreamt possible in my amateur golf career.
The short answer is I look at the kids and it's amazing how impressive they are. Like anyone that plays competitive golf, if you're going to do something you want to do it at its highest level.
I've tasted team events and been fortunate to have played major championships, and it's a very, very special time. Those are the things that keep me motivated. I'm not focused on that now. I'm focused on the team victory, and I'm so proud of everyone.
