ROWAN SULLIVAN: I didn't make any truly bad mistakes, I just couldn't get anything to fall. He played simply amazing. There's nothing I can say about it. It was some of the best golf I've ever seen in my life. So hats off to him. I expect to see him win it tomorrow if he plays the same way.
Q. What do you take from this? I know it's real early, and there's got to be a lot of pain in there, but still.
ROWAN SULLIVAN: Yeah, there's a lot of confidence that comes from a performance like this. Determination to build on it. Promise that my game is there.
Just taking the confidence, like I said, and the sense of belonging that I'm out here with the best players, and I can do it along with the best of them. All those things.
Q. What do you do the rest of the --
ROWAN SULLIVAN: I'm going to go sit in my bed. I don't know what I'm going to do the rest of the day. Maybe turn it on, root on Billy, because after seeing today, I just don't see anybody beating him.
I'm just going to go and relax and rest my feet.
Q. Thinking back over the last couple days, did you have fun out there?
ROWAN SULLIVAN: Oh, man, what a week to end off my junior career. This being the last tournament of my summer before I go to college is awesome, and to have such a special week with all the support, it just means the world. There's no better way to end it, with the biggest tournament in the world and playing well. It made my summer for sure.
Q. Did you try and qualify for the Am?
ROWAN SULLIVAN: I'm the first alternate for the U.S. Am. Hopefully by some grace of God, this performance will help me get in. I hope somebody at the USGA notices this, because after all, I am a first alternate.
I hope to play and push back my move-in date to college by playing in the U.S. Am, but right now I'm planning on moving in August 19th.
