Q. How you feeling right now after getting the win?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: I'm very excited for tomorrow. Honestly, I didn't think I would make it to like the 32, like the round of 32, but I had faith and here we are going into the quarters tomorrow.
Q. Is this your first USGA event?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: Yeah, first U.S. Junior.
Q. How would you sum up the week? Obviously going well. You're in the quarterfinals. How has the course been and the experience so far?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: The experience is great. I mean, USGA obviously is like -- it's one the best. I mean, there is nothing compared to it.
Course is looking good, as always. Good condition, everything is pure. It's just really hard for the rough. In the rough and it's just really hard if you're in there.
Q. All three of your matches you haven't even reached the 17th hole. You've been putting away matches kind of early. What part of your game has been working out there?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: I think what sets me apart is I'm -- is my driving is pretty good. I'm hitting lots of fairways, which is giving me lots of opportunities to hit on the green and then try and make putts.
If not, just two putting it and get out of there. Par is always your friend.
Q. How is it when you do miss a fairway? How tough is that rough?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: It's very tough. I mean, you have no shot for the green and you're chipping out and then you're looking for like 130 yards into the green, so it's pretty hard.
Q. The most recent match here you both birdied -- you tied the 3rd, 4th, and 5th hole all with birdies. I think he had a 1-up lead at that point.
NGUYEN ANH MINH: Yeah.
Q. When you birdie three in a row and you can't get one back, how do you kind of stay confident in trying to tie up the match?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: Yeah, like I just told myself like there is a lot of holes left, more opportunities coming for me, so just try and keep a cold head and just do my thing out there.
Q. Any big highlights or long, long putts you made to win holes in the last match?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: I did make a pretty good chip in on the third hole.
Q. You chipped in?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: On the fourth hole, yeah.
Q. How far off the green would you say?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: I would say about 20 yards to the pin.
Q. Nice.
NGUYEN ANH MINH: So I was pretty proud of that.
Q. Great job. Are you committed to Oregon State?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: I am, yes.
Q. And that will be in the fall of 2025 you will go?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: Next fall, yeah.
Q. Your caddie here, are you using local caddie?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: No. I have my caddie from Vietnam.
Q. Tell me a little bit about him.
NGUYEN ANH MINH: He's like family. Yeah, met him at a golf course back in Vietnam, and I met him there and then we always played together like ever weekend.
That's how we kind of get along. He's always been kind of family to me, and to have him come here is really special.
Q. How does he help you out there during the rounds?
NGUYEN ANH MINH: Just keeping me like in the moment, like I'm not going anywhere.
And then, yeah, just really keeping me focused and just like next shot is always our goal.
