Quick Quotes

Q. 4 birdies today. How did you feel about your performance overall?

ROSIE JONES: You know what? I didn't hit the ball really well my first eight holes, and I was just trying to be really patient because I didn't -- wasn't able to hit it close to the hole.

But I had a lot of 25-footers that were just coming up short or, you know, a little miss-hit. And I was able to hit it a little bit closer. Started hitting it a little bit better. Drivers a little bit better. Getting myself in position a little bit better to go at some pins.

You know, basically I was just really patient and had a really good stretch out there 8, 9, 10 with three birdies. One was a really long putt and the other were just two footers. Then I almost put in about a 50-footer on our last hole, No. 11. Lipped out there, but left me like a three-footer, a knee-knocker.

Really pleased to be 1-under.

Q. Talk to us a little bit about the course, how it's playing.

ROSIE JONES: You know what? It's really great. I think it's really tough for everybody. You know, when we were playing practice rounds it was a little drier so the ball was rolling out a little bit more.

Today with the cloud cover the greens are holding really well. I think the longer hitters can go right at the pin more often. I'm not surprised at those players at the top right there.

But this golf course is kind of open for everybody, so if you're in control of your ball and you have good club selection, that's really tough. You know, just getting the right club in your hand and trusting it.
