Q. You had one of the lowest rounds coming out of this morning's wave. What were your thoughts on the course?
JACQUELINE GALLAGHER-SMITH: Well, there were some tricky pins today. I was able to take advantage. I took advantage of the par-5s, which was better today than yesterday, so I was pretty good with my wedges. Had a couple goof-off drives, but managed to make enough birdies to make up for it, and I was rolling the ball really well. I think just getting the speed of the greens was key, and just trying to play some protective golf.
But it's a beautiful day and the course is in great shape.
Q. What are some things that you'll be working on today heading into tomorrow?
JACQUELINE GALLAGHER-SMITH: Well, I need to go to the range and see why I hit a couple of those drives the way I did, but other than just going to keep trying to roll the ball the way I have been rolling it and see what happens on the weekend.
Q. I know that this is your third time playing in this championship; what is it about the U.S. Senior Women's Open that keeps you coming back?
JACQUELINE GALLAGHER-SMITH: Well, you're playing with the greatest women senior players. It's kind of fun to be back in that competitive mode after having two boys, basically raising two boys, and getting back and actually having my son on the bag has been a thrill, and just enjoying being out here playing again. I teach preschool, so this is kind of an extra fun thing for me to do.
Q. What are the type of things that you do to prepare to head into a championship like this?
JACQUELINE GALLAGHER-SMITH: Well, just fortunately we had a couple tournaments, the LPGA Senior Championship and then Michele Redman had a tournament at Land O'Lakes, Legends of the LPGA tournament, so it was kind of nice that everything was together, and I played in the Florida State Open, so I did play a few tournaments because I really don't play that much, being a preschool teacher and going to baseball games. You know, I've been working on the range and the things that I used to do when I played all the time.
