Q. All right, Meghan, obviously probably not the outcome that you would've wanted, but you had a heck of a run here, heck of a final match to bring it down to 18.
MEGHAN STASI: Yeah, I mean, I was down three with I don't know even know what hole, I guess through 9, and made a little comeback.
Yeah, she was just so strong. This course is -- you know, Jennifer is really long off the tee. There is no real obstacle for her. I knew I had to make some birdies and I made a couple, but I also gave a few away as well.
It's easy to do.
Q. First time back in the quarters since 2019. I know it's only been a few years, but how did it feel back in contention and up near the top of the leaderboard?
MEGHAN STASI: Yeah, good. It's nice to have a decent qualifying rounds, couple rounds. It's pretty important to have a good seed going in. And it's match play, but you never know. Like Jennifer last year. You just never ever know.
Course is incredible though. They did a great job, especially with all the rain; the staff and everything has been just a great week.
Q. And you were defending champ, but overall, obviously you didn't get back there, didn't add another title to your legacy, but what's the overall takeaway from this week?
MEGHAN STASI: You know, it's nice to see the younger girls. There is a lot -- I guess there are seven 25 year olds, and that's really important for the game. You know, playing for a lot, so hopefully gets a lot more girls involved and playing throughout the year.
I know we all have jobs and lives and families, but it's just really nice to be able to come out here and play for more than just a trophy.
