Q. We're here with our defending champion, Kim Moore, +1, 73 today. Can you talk us through the round out there?
KIM MOORE: Yeah, I was hitting the ball much better today. Just trying to, again, hit greens in regulation. I made a couple good putts there on my front nine, the back nine. Almost had three birdies in a row. Was a great start. I was 1-under.
Then just kind of had a couple putting issues there at the beginning of the second nine.
But yeah, overall pretty happy with how I played. Could have played worse. I made a couple good saves, too.
Overall I was pretty happy.
Q. You're just a few shots off the lead. You'll be playing in the final pairing tomorrow. How are you going to draw off last year's experience and you being the defending champion?
KIM MOORE: I think that'll help. I know last year I had a lead going in. It wasn't a huge lead, but I did have a lead going in.
I think just staying patient out there again is going to be important, hitting the ball solid like I did today. Hopefully that kind of stays with me.
But yeah, I think that experience will definitely help.
Q. What kind of advice did you give yourself going into the round wanting to build some momentum going into the third round?
KIM MOORE: I didn't hit the ball very good at all yesterday. If I would have just hit it normal, I would have been just fine.
I hit it normal today. I didn't hit it great. I hit it much better, but I hit it normal. That was what I was telling myself, just get back to normal, get back to what you typically can do.
Yeah, I was happy with the way I was hitting the ball, and just wanted to -- again, pars are good, but if I can roll a couple in, that's always good.
Q. It seems like the back nine is maybe more scorable than the front nine out here. What do you tell yourself going into tomorrow knowing there's birdie chances coming on that back nine?
KIM MOORE: Yeah, I just have to, again, be patient and just understand greens in regulation, pars are good, and hopefully I can strike it well at the beginning like I did today. I think I'll be just fine.
