Q. 10 holes in you were 2-over par, but three birdies in the last six holes. You must be delighted with the finish.
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, I was a little bit frustrated at the beginning. I thought I was playing great. I put myself in great positions. I just didn't execute as well.
Like on No. 10 I hit a beautiful driver and then I had a 70-yard shot and I hit it over the green and I made 5 there. Made a couple mistakes that cost me a little bit, but I knew I was playing good, I just need to keep going, keep the same attitude, and I hit great shots at the end of the round, so I'm pretty pleased with the way I finished.
Q. Your driving stats and your approach stats are well above average, so that must give you a bit of hope for tomorrow at least.
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, I don't see much of the stats. I just know I'm playing great, and I'm putting myself in good positions, I just need to keep doing the same and just have a good attitude. It's hard to play all 18 holes good here. There's a lot of wind. It's tough. I'm just getting used to it.
Q. How did you find the course? What were the conditions like?
JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, they were amazing. It was beautiful. It wasn't cold. It wasn't hot. It was perfect weather, a little bit windy, but I think it's normal here. Yeah, it was great. It was a really enjoyable round of golf.
