Thomas Detry

(In progress.)

THOMAS DETRY: Yes. Didn't really get off to a good start really. Bogeyed the first and then was trying to grind it out. Hit really poorly off the tee, which is bit surprising because I was playing great last week.

And then I managed to turn it around really well. Brought it all the way back to even par, and then the last two holes a bit tricky and got caught there on 17 and 18, two little bogey.

Overall, 2-over, yeah, I think I'm going to have some works to do tomorrow.

Q. You did have a couple nice birdies there. Talk to us about those highlights of the round.

THOMAS DETRY: Yeah, I mean, that was big, because I made a putt for par to not go 4-over after 13 -- 12 holes, and then followed it up with two nice birdies and obviously another nice birdie on 16.

So that was nice. Nice momentum. Would've loved to squeeze some more, but the last two holes are tough and fortunately fought hard to make a five on the last. So, yeah, like I said, I'm going to have some work to do tomorrow.

Q. Talk to us about what it was like to play out there with the crowds back.

THOMAS DETRY: Yeah, it's absolutely fantastic really, having think it's 32,000 people a day. It's brilliant. I've been a bit fed up with the whole COVID thing. It's been tough for everyone, and we want to see crowds back, people supporting us.

But obviously we are living in strange times, so it's fantastic to see people back, see support out there.
