Q. Jack, thoughts on the round, please?
JACK SENIOR: A bit in and out really, to be honest. In particular didn't get off to the greatest of starts. It was tough with the wind, and then battled back well coming in. Just a bit of a poor bogey on 18 there, but overall it was a tricky day out there, but just didn't quite have my best stuff with me today.
Q. Is it about getting some momentum and you just couldn't quite do that?
JACK SENIOR: Yeah, I just didn't quite really get off to a good start. I feel like I was a little bit unfortunate with a lie that I got on the first down the right side and it just enabled me not to be able to get it on the green. I really struggled to get it up to the green there and then didn't get up-and-down from the front bunker, and I was really on the back foot then after bogeying 3, but battled back well, and just didn't really capitalise on the chances I gave myself.
Q. You mentioned the wind there, as well. There's also a couple of really tricky pin positions.
JACK SENIOR: Yeah, the pins were tricky. I mean, it wasn't that windy, do you know what I mean? It was probably gusting up to 50 mile an hour. The course is set up really fair. The pins were tough. It rewarded good shots. The course setup was perfectly fine.
Q. We've seen you play The Open before, but this is the first time you've made the weekend. Will you be able to enjoy the experience of being there on a Saturday afternoon?
JACK SENIOR: Yeah, I enjoyed it. Obviously played with Ian today. It's great being clapped on to every tee. Obviously try and enjoy it as much as you can, but at the end of the day you're obviously here to do a job and trying to perform to the best of your ability, and didn't quite do that today, but in this game there's always tomorrow, so try and battle back tomorrow and try and get under par.
