Marcel Siem

Q. Joined by Marcel Siem. Marcel, that birdie on the last there, your release of emotion, can you just capture that for us?

MARCEL SIEM: Yeah, I hit the lip so many times today. You know, I was just very tired this morning. Needed one birdie just to get the juices flowing in way and get the crowd going as well. Didn't happen all day. It was a bit depressing.

Yeah, finally on 18 to finish the week off like this with a birdie, and the crowds were so good to me all week, it was lovely. Yeah, was able to cheer them up a little bit on 18 as well then. It was awesome. I'm really, really happy.

Thanks to everybody cheering for me.

Q. You must have been delighted with the reception you got going up the 18the. I think as of champion's reception from the gallery.

MARCEL SIEM: Yeah, it was amazing. I thought, I have to be careful what I'm doing here. It's a bit embarrassing maybe because I'm not winner of the tournament.

But I think they want to see something like this, and I felt like having the birdie as well then cheering them up, that's what they pay the money for as well.

I love emotions, other players to show emotions as well. I'm very grateful for everybody who was cheering for me. Thank you.

Q. I believe this was your 14th straight week of playing. First of all, I assume you're not playing next week. What will you be doing?

MARCEL SIEM: Yeah, I woke up this morning and I was really struggling. Like I said before, I needed the birdie badly at the front nine to get me going. I was really tired. My legs are quite weak.

I don't know how much money I made. I didn't look at the money breakdown. I hope that's enough to keep my card on the Challenge Tour, and if that's the case, then I will take my family and, yeah, have a good rest.
