Q. Just sum it up.
ROBERT MACINTYRE: Yeah, it was tough. The wind switched on 6, I think it was. I thought I was going to get a little help getting the front nine with the wind direction we were having, and it switched, and it's just that back nine into the wind is not easy.
It's tough. It's tough when it's downwind, but when it switched back into it and you're struggling to get up on some holes.
But no, overall I hung in well, holed some key putts at the end. Hopefully that's enough.
Q. The cut line on 17, was that in your mind at that point?
ROBERT MACINTYRE: It was in my mind from the minute I stepped on until about the 8th tee. I was thinking the cut line. I was thinking the whole way in. I was watching how it was moving. I had a fair tee shot on, I think it's 15, and cost a bogey.
No, holed some great putts on 16, 17, to give me a chance. Then 18 I just misread it. Trusted the line, and it just wasn't the right line.
Q. To hold your nerve on 10 as well when the ball hit the sign, that must have been hard.
ROBERT MACINTYRE: I just thought it was going to be one of them days, but Mike did well to kept me calm. I was at boiling point at that point. Missed some good opportunities for birdie round about there. When I hit that sign and I was trying to get it into position, it may actually have helped me because I had that flat part to land on now.
No, I mean, for me to hang on there, it wasn't easy for me, and I was starting -- I was stressing a little bit.
Q. (Indiscernible) coming in early tomorrow and just try to make a move?
ROBERT MACINTYRE: Yeah, fancy enough it's all guns blazin', no hanging back. I don't know what the lead is now, but I'm a fair bit back. I know the golf I can play. I've been striking it well.
Today I was a wee bit anxious. I was thinking about things. I wasn't fully committed in what I was working on. I was late. I was doing the preset that I was really focusing on.
And then the last five holes, I just had to switch on to just commit to the preset and forget what you're doing, forget you're playing The Open Championship, and just hit it.
Q. I wanted to ask you about the course. Muirfield is going to be hosting the Women's Open in just a couple weeks. How cool is it they've made that opportunity for these ladies to play there?
ROBERT MACINTYRE: Yeah, Muirfield is a great place for myself. I won the Scottish Amateur there a few years ago. It's such a great golf course, I think it had to open up to the world. I think it had to get on terms with the world, life, by allowing women into the golf.
You know what, they're going to get a treat when they go there and get to compete on such a great golf course.
Q. Any advice for the way that course plays you have for the LET or LPGA ladies?
ROBERT MACINTYRE: Keep it out of the bunkers, keep it straight. It's the same with any links golf course. Just stay out of the pot bunkers, and you'll do all right.
