Q. Obviously a good start, tough back nine. What happened, 4 and 8?
JASON SCRIVENER: Just hit it out of bounds right, probably too aggressive with my line and hit a bad drive, hit it right, and quick double there, my momentum. A bit frustrating.
Would have been nice to just finish with a nice score and jump up that leaderboard. But low one tomorrow will put an end to a good week.
Q. What happened at 17 as well. Kevin Kisner actually said when he came in earlier, it's a par-5, the way it's pulling.
JASON SCRIVENER: I did the smart thing, went left on my second shot. Just wasn't quite far enough. It was pretty dead where it was. I think that's going to be pretty tricky the rest of the day.
Q. How did you find the conditions out there with the wind and pin placements?
JASON SCRIVENER: Beautiful. Really nice for that 12 holes and then it picked up and it was switching a little bit. That 12 holes, it was absolutely amazing.
Q. Do you think the later groups will struggle a little bit more?
JASON SCRIVENER: Yeah, typical British Open. It's going to be -- anything under par, I think, this afternoon will be a good score in those conditions. It's going to bunch everything up and make it pretty interesting tomorrow.
Q. You said anything under par. 70 is going to be a good score?
JASON SCRIVENER: It's going to be a different golf course this afternoon with the wind. And obviously firming up as well.
Q. Are the pins gettable? As bad as yesterday?
JASON SCRIVENER: All depends on the wind, a lot of it. I think even this morning they're starting to get pretty firm and back around some of those holes it's going to be hard to get it close, but you've just got to take advantage of the easy holes and then hang on some of the tricky holes.
I think anything under par will be a good score. That's what I think.
Q. What's your plan for this afternoon?
JASON SCRIVENER: Got my family here. So I'll probably be looking after my little boy and hang out there and just chill out.
Q. Tuning in?
JASON SCRIVENER: Probably watch a bit of it. Cam's a mate of mine. Hopefully he can go alone, run away with it.
Q. The split that's happened in golf, with the players in the locker room, and is there any difference in the atmosphere or any tension that you feel out there?
JASON SCRIVENER: Not from my point. I think everyone's got a choice, I don't look at anyone differently at all. But I think, from a player's perspective, I think for the most part guys just get it. Either way, if you want to stay, you stay. If not, you can go. But it's a tricky one.
Q. How was your caddie today, did he have any voice left? It was hard to shut him up last night.
JASON SCRIVENER: He did a good job today, living with that.
Q. What do you hope to get out of the weekend? By this time tomorrow, what will you be happy when we talk to you then?
JASON SCRIVENER: I'd like to have a low score. I don't know where I'll finish today. But top 30 or something would be nice. Something to build off going forward.
