Brooks Koepka

Q. How did you find it out there?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Just sloppy on the front. First nine holes didn't feel like I hit any good shots, but it's one of those things you've just got to find it as you go.

Q. Are you happy with your score?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Not really. I mean, 1-under is, what, four back right now with 4 afternoon scores still to go. Good ways back, but nothing I can do.

Q. Just on the 17th, how did you find that today? I spoke to your coach, I spoke to Pete Cowen yesterday and he said it could ruin someone's career. What's your response to that?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Sounds like Pete said it. (Laughter.)

I don't know. It's fine. I think it's a good hole. I think that's how par-3s should be. I'm not a huge fan of the 250 par-3s. It's very boring 3-iron; you know what you're going to do. All the great par-3s are 9-iron and less and difficult greens.

Q. (Indiscernible).

BROOKS KOEPKA: It was more ball-striking on the front. I hit it in two bunkers and had to pitch out. Yeah, I felt like I hit good putts. I was putting it fine. Just really sloppy on that front just ball-striking wise.

Q. (Indiscernible).

BROOKS KOEPKA: You go out there then. No, it's windier than you think. The problem is it's just the crosswinds. There's some pins that are kind of tucked that you can't go at. You've got to hit it 35 feet to. So you're just hoping to make a putt there.

Q. Was the pace of play on the front nine an issue with the group in front of you?

BROOKS KOEPKA: No. I think they were on the clock. We were on 8, I think they got put on the clock.
