Q. How was that experience?
HARRISON CROWE: Yeah, it was awesome. A few nerves on the first tee and they quickly settled, so it was a good day out there. Shame the golf didn't reflect, but it was great.
Q. I know it's a dream come true I bet for you guys; five (indiscernible) I think amongst the Aussie contingent. I know you wanted to make a big impression here, that you're not just a YouTube sensation.
HARRISON CROWE: Yeah, yeah, it's awesome having so many Aussie guys here. I played a lot of amateur golf with Robert McKinney, so it was awesome seeing him qualify. Haydn Barron. Got an opportunity to play with Min at the Masters, David Micheluzzi is a good mate of mine.
It's great to have a lot of Aussie support, and saw some Aussie supporters out in the crowd, too.
Q. Playing with Min Woo is a real treat; twice this year it's happened?
HARRISON CROWE: No, he's awesome. It's quite amusing hearing everyone yell out his name out on the golf course. They all love him.
No, it's awesome. I played a little bit of golf with him. We had a practice round yesterday. It's very chill with him. Good camaraderie. It's easy. Makes things a lot easier out there, especially for me in my first Open. It's awesome.
Q. He says that you're a big talent, that you've got a big career ahead of you. What do you think about him? He's got extraordinary talent, doesn't he?
HARRISON CROWE: Yeah, absolutely. Everyone knows how good he is, really, and I think the best is yet to come for him.
I think he's just growing more and more as a player. You're seeing that from some results in like the U.S. Open the other week. He's just getting better and better. I think he'll be World No. 1 one day.
Q. Do you think you can qualify? You've got to stay positive, haven't you?
HARRISON CROWE: Yeah, yeah. There's another day tomorrow. There was a lot of good stuff out there. It was just kind of a shame at the last. But I'm playing pretty well. I think it'll be a less nervy start tomorrow, so we'll be fine.
Q. We didn't see that because we were in here, but what actually happened on the last?
HARRISON CROWE: Oh, I hit it about two metres left of the bunker in the thick rough and tried to hack out gap wedge up the fairway and turned the face open and out of bounds by a few metres. So I had to drop it again and missed about an 8-, 10-footer for bogey.
Q. (Indiscernible.)
HARRISON CROWE: Yeah, if you're not in a good spot off the tee it makes it kind of tricky to attack pins and kind of create a good score.
Q. How did the atmosphere compare to the Masters out there today, Harrison?
HARRISON CROWE: Yeah, it's a lot more of a boisterous crowd for sure. I know walking past all the food, past 15, where there's a big gathering, it's pretty loud. It's awesome. When you get to be inside the ropes playing at an event like this, The Open has always been an event I've wanted to play and win growing up.
To be inside the ropes this week, it's awesome.
Q. That video has gone absolutely viral of you hitting a ball over the building at St Andrews. I just wonder, you're obviously much more than that.
HARRISON CROWE: Yeah, I think people know that I'm a good golfer, and I'm also worried if I believe that I'm a good golfer. I'm not fazed. I'm not fazed. I think any publicity is good publicity in a sense. I've just got to let the golf clubs do the talking and we'll be all good.
Q. It was pretty cool.
HARRISON CROWE: Yeah, it is pretty cool. I've had a couple people ask me if I was the person that hit that shot. I've had a couple people this week. But yeah, it's awesome.
Q. Do you know the guy that's leading, the South African guy?
HARRISON CROWE: I don't know him very well. I met him this week, congratulated him on the British Am Tour about a month ago. Really nice dude, and from what I saw at the British Amateur, he's an incredible golfer and he's had some great results. I'm not really surprised that he's come out with a flourish like that.
Q. Someone you look up to?
HARRISON CROWE: Well, technically, yes, I do. He's definitely a tall bloke. I saw him in the locker room. It's like looking up at the ceiling.
Q. Of course he's obviously in prime position for the old silver medal. Is that something you would have been targeting at the start of the week?
HARRISON CROWE: Yeah. I mean, I'm not too focused on that. It's just enjoying and trying to get the most out of my week and play some good golf and the rest will take care of itself. There's a long way to go and it's not the best start that I've asked for, but as I've said, we'll be okay.
