Q. Can you describe the fight you had today trying to get back into things and how you feel after today?
JON RAHM: I mean, I feel good. Shot under par, which is not an easy task out here. Just keep going back on those four putts from inside four feet that I've missed. Those are four shots that you can't give up in major championships. 2-over or 2-under makes a massive difference right now in the score, and that's mainly it, luck or fortune aside.
But if you forget about that, I made a ton of putts from eight to ten feet today to keep the round going. If I start thinking, I bet I can come up with five really quick ones, especially on the back nine, to keep the round going, added to a couple of great up-and-downs.
I think I really -- for the better part of it, I maximised my round today. Just happy I made all those putts. It's a sour taste when you finish the way I did with those three putts.
Q. Looks like it'll be 17 cuts in a row at the majors. How much satisfaction do you take out of that?
JON RAHM: You know, I think it's funny, I talked to Phil in the practice round over him making 100 cuts. I guess maybe in the future when my career is closer to done, it might have more weight than it does right now. Right now I'm just focused on the fact that I'm 12 shots back. That's about it. Happy I made the cut, but I would like to see myself in contention.
Q. Is it a measure of consistency?
JON RAHM: Yeah, it is. You want to be making cuts and at least coming into this week I didn't want to make it two in a row for sure after missing Travelers. Happy that I keep doing it, but again, I want to be consistent, but I want to consistently be a little bit higher on the leaderboard, which I still have two days to do, but I'm going to need a little help from the field and a really good round tomorrow to put myself within distance.
