Sepp Straka

Q. How do you feel about your round?

SEPP STRAKA: Overall pretty good. I didn't have my best stuff today. I didn't hit it great off the tee, which makes this course really tough.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it.

Q. You are in contention right now; that's a feeling you've had in other majors before, so how do you take that into Sunday?

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, for sure this is the definitely the best position I've been in going into Sunday in a major.

Harman is doing what he's doing. If he has a good day tomorrow, it's going to be tough to catch him. You've just got to go out there and try and shoot a low score. You don't have to do anything crazy because it's just one guy up there. You just try to play your game and see what happens.

Q. A little bit of frustration, do you think the course was more gettable today?

SEPP STRAKA: I think it was, yeah. It was definitely more gettable. I just didn't have my best stuff. I hit it kind of crooked off the tee, which I feel like is one of my strengths.

Yeah, from there I'm pretty happy with it because I scored pretty well considering.

Q. Your caddie situation has obviously gone really well. What's the backstory there, and what are you guys' plans together?

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, I've known Duey for a while now since he caddied for a friend of mine, Kis, and Kis is taking a little break so I figured I'd borrow him for a little bit. It's worked out great. I love Duey. He's a great caddie, and I'm really happy to have him on the bag.

Q. Is there anything that he does that has put you in the right frame of mind or helped you play so well?

SEPP STRAKA: I think he does a great job of just sticking with one shot at a time. He's a very professional guy and still likes to have a lot of fun out there, but whether I'm 2-over or playing great, he's unchanged.

Q. What is it you have with him that you haven't had with other guys before?

SEPP STRAKA: I'd say that. He's great at just kind of not showing any sort of emotion one way or another. He's next shot no matter what.

Q. Do you guys know how long you're going to be working together?

SEPP STRAKA: Not for sure, yeah. To be determined, but for the foreseeable future.

Q. I assume you know Harman pretty well?

SEPP STRAKA: Yes, yeah.

Q. As far as you hit it, can you appreciate what he's able to do with not hitting it as far --

SEPP STRAKA: Well, he doesn't hit it that short. I don't know why everybody keeps saying that. He hits it a little shorter than me but less than 10 yards shorter. He just stripes it. That's all it is. He hits his driver really good. He hits his irons really good. He putts it really good. He's a great player.

He's kind of flown under the radar for a while, but he's really, really good.

Q. What is it about him that we might not know?

SEPP STRAKA: About Harman?

Q. Yeah. You say he flies pretty under the radar.

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, he does a great job with that. Kind of envy that a little bit. Y'all know he loves hunting and fishing. I don't know, I think you probably know everything that he wants people to know.
