Mina Harigae

THE MODERATOR: Fantastic round, you must be delighted with that.

MINA HARIGAE: Yeah, definitely, especially here at Carnoustie.

THE MODERATOR: Your back nine you had four birdies. Any particular highlights for you?

MINA HARIGAE: I mean, I think 18 is a high lit for me. It's such a hard hole. I had a 4-hybrid in and you have to hit really good shots. I think it's a great birdie on that tough hole.

Q. The back nine is renowned, quite tough. You've proved that wrong.

MINA HARIGAE: A couple times I got lucky with the bounces, skirting a couple bunkers. But overall I putted really well today so I think that contributed to my really good back nine as well.

THE MODERATOR: When you saw the conditions morning, did you feel there was a good score for you?

MINA HARIGAE: No, because I wasn't sure what was going to happen. It looked like there was going to be rain but definitely was a little softer out there and I thought it was a little more breezy than when I played yesterday afternoon. So yeah, I didn't think it was easy conditions, but also I know it can be a lot tougher.

THE MODERATOR: You made a few trips over here, your best finish I think tied 28th in 2018 at this event. Are you confident of surpassing that this year?

MINA HARIGAE: Yeah, I'm a much better golfer the last 12 months, I've been playing well. So I just feel like I'm in a good place.

THE MODERATOR: And you're in form, chasing Solheim Cup?

MINA HARIGAE: Yeah.

THE MODERATOR: Is that obviously the goal coming to the end of this?

MINA HARIGAE: Yeah, that's obviously the goal but I think if I just keep going what I'm doing, I'll stick with my game plan. Hopefully it all works out for me.
