Q. How did you play?
LINDSEY GARDEN: I played okay. I played okay. I didn't embarrass myself off the first tee, almost got on the green at the first, so three-putted as usual but no it was good. I struck the ball nicely. Putting could have been better.
Q. Any birdies?
LINDSEY GARDEN: No. No.
Q. Did you get the honour at all?
LINDSEY GARDEN: Yes. I knocked it to, I should have made a birdie at the second. I knocked it in pretty close, missed it but no, no birdies.
Q. How much advance warning did you have that you were going to be doing what you did?
LINDSEY GARDEN: A few weeks. There was some chat that if there was an odd number, I would be the marker. So it wasn't totally unexpected.
Q. So what do you play off?
LINDSEY GARDEN: 1.6.
Q. How nervous were you?
LINDSEY GARDEN: Very.
Q. But you wouldn't have swapped it for anything, I guess?
LINDSEY GARDEN: Well, do you know, if I topped it off the first tee I would have swapped you for anything but it went off okay, so there after it was fine.
Q. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? Membership, etc.?
LINDSEY GARDEN: My membership at The Honourable Company? It's fantastic. So I've been a member a year, and it's just been a great year because since I've been a member with knowing we're hosting the AIG Women's Open and it's been lots of prep for that. And there's been some really fun stuff around that, Media Days and just some interviews with various media people talking about what is it like to be a woman Member at Muirfield, it's the same as it is for a man. We're equal.
Q. Are you from this area?
LINDSEY GARDEN: I'm not, no. Originally Highlands.
Q. And you'd recommend it to anyone then to go and play a tournament like this?
LINDSEY GARDEN: Absolutely.
Q. Did you feel the whole event has lived up to expectation? Do you feel the whole thing so far has been what you expected and everyone expected?
LINDSEY GARDEN: I think so. I mean, the course is fantastic, isn't it. The course just looks great and so I think all the girls are loving playing our golf course, and that's what we want, just that opportunity to play here just as what the men have had for years and years.
Q. Clearly with that handicap, I guess you received certain things in golf, what's your high points, what's your biggest achievements?
LINDSEY GARDEN: The mixed foursomes with John Huggan, of course, is my high point.
Q. I should have known that.
LINDSEY GARDEN: No, I've been a solid Scottish Internationalist, and that's really probably the extent of the highlight of my golf.
Q. But not a bad achievement?
LINDSEY GARDEN: Yeah, yeah.
Q. Will you be back out again tomorrow?
LINDSEY GARDEN: I think so, unless I suppose somebody has a nightmare out there today and gets injured. But yeah, hopefully they are happy to have me again.
Q. What part of the Highlands are you from?
LINDSEY GARDEN: I grew up in Tain, so a member of Tain and Dornoch.
Q. How did your caddie to today?
LINDSEY GARDEN: Very well. Very well. A novice on the bag but he did well. Yeah, he came through.
