Q. You were in the first group marking for Moriya. How was that experience?
NICOLA TAYLOR: Amazing. Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It's exciting enough as a member here that we've got the tournament this week, so to be asked to play or be on stand by in case there's an odd number was just really exciting, really exciting to be out there.
Q. When did you find out about it?
NICOLA TAYLOR: I found out a couple of of weeks ago that I would be on stand by if needed, and got the call about nine o'clock last night at which point I thought I should probably go and have an early night.
Q. What's your handicap index?
NICOLA TAYLOR: I'm a 3. I'm a bit wayward normally, in the heather in bits and pieces. Played all right today. Holed some nice putts.
Q. With that type of handicap, you must feel that you're not going to do yourself any harm.
NICOLA TAYLOR: The course is playing great. There were loads of supporters out there, loads of members had come out, loads of friends. So we just kept it in play. Had two really bad drives and the rest of it was good enough.
Q. And any birdies that you had?
NICOLA TAYLOR: No, I was really trying, 16, 17, I had two opportunities from about 12-foot but not to be today. Maybe tomorrow.
Q. What was it like playing with Moriya?
NICOLA TAYLOR: She was so lovely, both her and her caddie, James, they were really, really relaxed and made it a lot easier for us.
But she had a great score, she was 2-under, at one point was best score out there on the course. Hopefully she'll have a good day tomorrow.
Q. As a member here, hosting the Championship, how exciting has it been for everyone?
NICOLA TAYLOR: Honestly it's been exciting, and not just this week. We've been looking forward to this for years and all sections of the club are excited. It's not just the ladies section. Everyone is. So many of the members are being volunteers and things this week, so I just get the best job of them all.
Q. And you said you play off 3. Have you won anything at club level or a championship?
NICOLA TAYLOR: I have won the club championship here, and I am captain of the Surrey county team. So get to play some team golf in that instance.
