Gemma Dryburgh

Q. 74 to finish, obvious question, you hoped for better?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yes, but actually quite happy with how I fought back on the back nine. Had a really tough start, so quite happy to make a couple birdies coming in.

Q. How difficult was that playing in the wind?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: It is tricky. Basically the first four holes and No. 6 are all into the wind. I had a couple quite long shots in, 3-woods and hybrids. So it's quite tricky, if you can get through those holes, you're laughing.

But yeah, I had a struggle there but came quite well on the back nine, so nice to make a few birdies there.

Q. On a Sunday, gets you on the board, points, etc. That, must be pleasing?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Definitely, yeah. It's nice to finish on a positive note a air major championship. I'm not sure where I'll finish in the end, middle of the pack, I guess, but still happy with the weekend.

Q. Every overall, the week's efforts, what kind of rating would you give yourself for the week?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Overall, pretty good. Obviously things don't go to plan as always, but feel like my game is trending in a good direction, and just a few small things to improve but very happy overall.

Q. Playing in England with the crowds, what's it been like?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: The best crowds I've seen at any women's event to be honest. Be interesting to see what the ratings are after how many people have come. But it's been great to see the crowds out here and the support has been amazing and I think all the girls have really enjoyed it, and lots of kids, which has been nice. Saw them after the finish. Gave them some balls and signed autographs and nice to see them out.

Q. Last night with the concert, how much did you see of it?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, I went to Ellie Goulding last night with my parents. We enjoyed that. I think it's great adding these extra bits in. Brings more people in to watch as well. It's a bit of a different dynamic and it's great for the game and hopefully we'll continue to do that.

Q. AIG, continuing the elevation of the championship, do you see it growing and growing?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, I think so. I think they are always looking for ways to improve it. They have been doing that every year, so I can't wait for St Andrews next year.

Q. That's a venue you have some knowledge of, I'm assuming?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yes.

Q. I take it, albeit 12 months away but one you'll be looking forward to hugely?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, definitely, obviously with the new sponsor, Old Course Hotel, as well. Very excited to go there and play there and hopefully get a few rounds before then.
