Darcey Harry

Q. Rough front nine but you hung in there on the back nine.

DARCEY HARRY: Yeah. Yeah, it was tough. I think the -- I mean, our start was probably one of the worst weather starts I think I've ever played in, more so because of the wind was so strong. I don't think anyone could really reach the first hole in two, even with a big drive and a low 2-hybrid.

No, it was a really tough start. Really nice to have two birdies on the back nine and just keep in there.

Q. The weather at the start, was that as big a wind as you've ever played at Porthcawl?

DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, probably the biggest wind. Yeah, it was a really tough start, but now actually for the ending it's died down. It's pretty nice out there. Feels a bit of a shame to -- like yesterday the wind picked up in the afternoon and then today, yeah, just feel like I had two days of bad weather.

Q. You're playing home ground and you have done pretty well in this AIG Women's Open.

DARCEY HARRY: Thank you.

Q. Tell me about your experience this week.

DARCEY HARRY: Yeah, it's been great. It's been so lovely to see such a quiet place be so busy with so many people. It's been lovely. I've been so surprised how many people are out here. I went to the men's Open not too long ago, and I have to say the crowds for me feel like maybe nearly like one of the first two days, which I think is very impressive.

It's great. A lot of Welsh support out there. Again, hopefully that will drive Welsh sport to host some more big events.
