Hailey Loh

Q. Hailey, thank you so much for joining us in Abu Dhabi for the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific. Excited to be here?

HAILEY LOH: Yeah, definitely. I was really bummed out when the event last year got cancelled. So I'm really excited to get back and play this event. I really love this event -- the atmosphere, the people. It's just amazing.

Q. That's great. Now you've played two practice rounds out here at Abu Dhabi Golf Club. What are your thoughts on the course?

HAILEY LOH: I love it. The conditions are so good. It's very scorable but also very tricky. It challenges us both mentally and physically. Also with the weather, it's sweltering hot right now. So I guess it will be an exciting four days ahead of us.

Q. Lots of the girls have said that tee shots are very important this week and positioning yourself at the correct spots on the course. Is that your thoughts as well?

HAILEY LOH: Yeah, I guess what's guiding this course is probably the tee shots as the bunkers are very, very well placed. It's always very in between the distances.

Q. Can you talk to us a little bit about what you've been doing this year and how your form has been coming into this championship?

HAILEY LOH: I've been playing a lot this year because I'm in college golf. I've had four events in the fall leading up to this event, and I've been playing well recently very steady, and I'm very excited to be competing this week. I've won a couple of tournaments this year, so I hope this is the next one.

Q. Do you feel like those wins in those tournaments in college have -- I guess, have you learned a lot from them that you can bring into this week?

HAILEY LOH: I actually won back home in Singapore, so I did learn a lot. I learned more about myself and more about my strengths and weaknesses. So I'm hoping that I can apply it to my game all the time, especially for this week.

Q. Have you set yourself any goals coming into this championship?

HAILEY LOH: I set goals for myself. Obviously, I do want to play under par, and I obviously do want to win. But I think it's more about me trusting the process and being patient with myself more.
