Q. Xiaowen, thank you so much for joining us. 2-under to begin your Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific championship. Are you happy with your round today?
XIAOWEN YIN: Not really.
Q. But it was a fantastic start to the day.
XIAOWEN YIN: Yes.
Q. You were 3-under after four holes?
XIAOWEN YIN: Yes.
Q. Can you talk to us about those few opening holes.
XIAOWEN YIN: The 2nd hole, it was a par-5, and I hit it and my first shot and second shot were perfect, and the third shot was I think 60 yards. I chipped this far, and I made a birdie.
On No. 3, I hit it on the fairway, and then it was 145 to the pin, and then I hit it one yard and I make it. No. 4, it was a par-3 140, and I hit it like four yards, and I make it.
Q. So it sounds like your approach shots were excellent today. Is that how you feel too?
XIAOWEN YIN: Yes, at the beginning. Also, my irons at the beginning was pretty good, yeah.
Q. So not very happy with the end of your round. Did you just feel like maybe you got tired in the heat? Or what happened, do you think?
XIAOWEN YIN: Maybe I got a little tired at the back nine, and also it was pretty hot. I didn't sleep well last night. I woke up at 4:00 a.m.
Q. But certainly from the start of your round, lots of positives to take into the rest of the championship. Are you feeling confident heading into tomorrow?
XIAOWEN YIN: Yes, I have a lot of confidence. There's three more days, and I'll play good.
