Xin Kou

Q. Can you tell us your name and what country you're from?

XIN KOU: I'm Cindy (Xin) Kou and I'm from Beijing, China.

Q. Welcome to the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific here at Singapore Island Country Club. How are you feeling this week?

XIN KOU: I still have jet lag, but I feel really excited for this course. I've never played in an amateur tournament in Asia, so I'm super pumped.

Q. You just played your practice round. What do you think about the course?

XIN KOU: I think it's definitely a challenging course. It's not playing super far, but I think the greens are a bit hilly and the fairways can be narrow on some holes.

Q. There's a lot at stake this week with the exemptions for the majors. Does that inspire you?

XIN KOU: I think it definitely makes me a little bit more excited than other tournaments. I love other tournaments, too, but the main thing for me is just to focus on my process, play how I always play.

Q. What's your goal for this week?

XIN KOU: Play the best I can. I like to focus on the process. Obviously a win would be great, but the best I can do is all I can ask for.
