Q. Aloysa, not the start you maybe wanted today. Can you talk us through your round?
ALOYSA ATIENZA: I actually started pretty well, gave myself a couple of birdie chances in the first couple of holes, just that I made a triple on the par-3, hole 13, and after that, I managed to bounce back. I was 2-under for the following holes for a while, and I just kept trying to scramble my way through the golf course; not too fancy. Just lipped out a couple of birdie putts.
As a whole, everything seems to be trending nicely. Tomorrow I just hope that I can score better.
I mean, I'm hitting in the right spots today, just not converting my birdie putts and just not scrambling enough.
Q. Are you going to get out there to practice, get out there tomorrow?
ALOYSA ATIENZA: I'm going to do a bit more putting. I think I had a couple of three-putts today. Probably just got nervous and tense, and that kind of affected my speed control today.
I think apart from that, I'm still good and ready to go. I'm still confident with my game. Hopefully, the score will take care of itself tomorrow.
Q. Do you think you're feeling the pressure of representing the host nation?
ALOYSA ATIENZA: For sure. The last couple of days especially with all the media and stuff, I'm definitely not used to that, but it was a good experience. I'm just trying to take it all in.
I really like it, and I don't know, I'm just trying to enjoy my game and enjoy playing with my playing partners.
Q. Do you have a goal for tomorrow, a plan?
ALOYSA ATIENZA: I think I'm just going to stick to my game plan, like what I had today. It was just a couple of mis-hits throughout the day that I couldn't recover from. Apart from that, I'm actually really pleased and confident with my game plan for the golf course, so I'll just try to stick to the present and just swing as best I can for every shot.
