Q. Could you talk us through your round today?
HAILEY LOH: It was a pretty slow start. I hit it pretty close to the pins and just didn't make any birdies. I had I think seven straight pars, made a mistake on 17, made a bogey there, and then made a par on 18. Things started to get interesting on hole 1, which was my 10th hole. I actually was not even close to the fairway on my first and second shots. I had like a 33-meter chip, and I made it, so that was really good. I didn't even expect to make an up-and-down from there.
Then I had an eagle today, which was very exciting, as well. It was on hole 4, which was my 13th hole. I actually hit it left of where I intended to on my second shot, and I was pin high left like 40 feet, and I was pretty surprised where it ended up because I thought it was going to go in the long grass, and I was expecting not to find my ball really.
So making an eagle on that hole was definitely a very pleasant surprise.
Q. What's next for you? What are your plans for the future?
HAILEY LOH: I'm going back to school for now. I'm a junior at California Baptist University, so I'll be continuing my junior year there. Hopefully, I'll be able to play in some tournaments in the U.S., win the conference championship, and then I'll be heading to Cambodia for the Southeast Asian Games, where I'll be representing Singapore.
Q. What would you say you've learned this week?
HAILEY LOH: I definitely have learned a lot. It was very awe-inspiring to play with some of the best players. Yesterday I played with Jiyoo Lim, who shot a bogey-free 6-under par, so that was just amazing to watch. I felt like I was playing so badly next to her. I think she's definitely a very, very good player. She's definitely one to look out for in the future.
She is just so poised and so steady. I think that's something that I could definitely learn from her.
Q. Have you got any lasting memories?
HAILEY LOH: I mean, being able to play such a big tournament in my home country is so amazing. The amount of support I've gotten this week from the locals and even from the club staff is just so overwhelming, and I'm so grateful for it.
My family actually came out to watch me play, and it's one of the few times they can actually do that, so that's really amazing, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity.
Q. Maybe see you back at WAAP next year?
HAILEY LOH: For sure.
