Q. Captain's pick, brilliant score, I know you set very high standards. How do you feel about the round this morning?
KIPP POPERT: I played, I scored well. It was a grind. Got up-and-down. Played in the trees a lot. Chipped out a lot. So yeah, to come off there with I think 3-over, plus one, still in it. Still around the lead is all I could ask for, and you're never going to have a perfect round, so it was nice to get out of my stormy weather quite well.
Q. Quite calm wind-wise but really soggy, so that must have caused a lot of issues?
KIPP POPERT: To be honest, the sogginess didn't really matter. I did get a few mud because. I think I made birdie still but on the par 5, I could have had mud balls -- it was good. Putted well and had a nice time with my friend.
Q. Still waiting for Brendan to finish up and see what score he ends up but confident you can make a bit of a charge tomorrow perhaps?
KIPP POPERT: Yeah, all I need to do is be around the lead. I've won from behind before and I've won from ahead before. I like competing and that's why I'm here.
