P. CARRENO BUSTA/H. Hurkacz
3-6, 6-3, 6-3
THE MODERATOR: Hubie, your fifth straight three-setter this week. Busy week, of course, with the doubles. Talk about the match today.
HUBERT HURKACZ: Yeah, I mean, Pablo was playing really, really well throughout the whole match. It just was tough to play against him.
I mean, maybe I wasn't serving as good as I can. But definitely Pablo deserved to win today.
THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. You reached the final today, semis in doubles, is it a positive week for you?
HUBERT HURKACZ: Yeah, no, definitely. It's definitely a good week. A lot of improvements. I'll learn a lot from that week and move on to the next one.
Q. You finished yesterday at 2 a.m. to play in doubles. Did you feel it in the third set?
HUBERT HURKACZ: I mean, I was feeling okay. I mean, definitely it's been busy week. Every day from basically 9 a.m. to, like, 10 p.m. I was working. It was a busy, busy week.
But I gave it all I could this week. So happy with that.
Q. Can you tell what makes Pablo different? It seems that he's never tired and he hits the ball one more time all the time.
HUBERT HURKACZ: Yeah, I mean, he's really good player. I mean, he definitely was playing really amazing this week. Just congratulate him because that's his biggest success so far. He definitely deserved it.
Q. Your take on the one extended point where you forced him to the back, he made the miracle return. What did you see on that?
HUBERT HURKACZ: I mean, just great point by him. I mean, he made a good save.
Q. Do you think it was maybe a turning point at this point?
HUBERT HURKACZ: No.
Q. You were leading after the first set. What happened at the beginning of the second set?
HUBERT HURKACZ: I mean, Pablo played a good game. I didn't make first serves. The small things makes big difference. I mean, if you're not making first serves, and Pablo played couple good returns, then you're under big pressure.
