TCU, 75 - Kansas, 72
Q. Holly, talk about the emotions of battling in this game being down so many points and just coming up short and what was a hard loss for the team tonight?
HOLLY KERSGEITER: Yeah, I mean, it's a lot of emotions. Physically we were exhausted because we had to play really hard defense and they were really physical. And, you know, kind of just that. You know, this could have been our last game type situation. We don't want to go home. It's really exciting to get a conference win, so it was kind of like a different type of being down in the game. It was kind of a different type of momentum to define because it was a different emotional game. So it was hard.
Q. Talk about the play of Ioanna and 18 points, 13 rebounds, really provided a spark for your team to start the game. What does she mean to the team?
HOLLY KERSGEITER: She obviously means a lot. She came out this entire year and had a really big role and she wasn't scared. She didn't care who we were playing, she had lot of confidence. For someone coming across the world and didn't really speak a lot of English, she did a really good job. She found her place.
Tonight being a freshman, first her conference tournament, that is pretty impressive. I know she's hard on herself right now because of that last play, but she's great and she'll be great for the years coming.
