Terance Mann

Press Conference

Q. What was Ty's message after the game on Tuesday? What was his message to the team? Communicating to you guys about staying calm in this situation?

TERANCE MANN: Not too big of a message, just kind of stay calm. You know, stay ready. Everyone stay positive, don't hang your heads. We've still got a lot of basketball left.

Q. You had a Tweet out earlier today, a message to the fans. What have the last two days been like since that game?

TERANCE MANN: That Tweet wasn't really towards our fans or nothing like that. It was mainly the Trae Young situation or the Russ Westbrook situation. I just thought that was pretty ridiculous. You know, we go out there playing a game. You know, it's not you know life-threatening. We are not threatening anyone's life or anything like that and to have people spit on players, dump popcorn is just kind of crazy to me and I didn't really like that.

Q. Have you ever seen something like that that in person before?

TERANCE MANN: No.

Q. Do you feel as if as if maybe your presence or the team overall, do you feel that if increasing the pace is something that you guys could use in the series?

TERANCE MANN: Yeah, definitely. Just being able to get stops and run, I think getting stops is the main thing to our pace if we -- if we are able to get stops on the defensive end, and we are able to run and play the game that we are used to playing.

Q. When you got into the game or when you went into the game the other night, was anything discussed of what your expectations might have been Orlando Magic you getting in the game and playing your typical game, bringing your energy and defense and what you typically do?

TERANCE MANN: Just my typical game. I know what my team expects from me night-in and night-out is to play hard and bring energy, and so that's what I'm going to try to do every time I step out there.

Q. Do you have get extra energy from other team when you get out there?

TERANCE MANN: Yeah, definitely. Definitely helps when I'm out there playing with energy, when anyone is out there playing with energy definitely helps the team. So that's what we should continue to try and do is play hard with energy.

Q. Dallas is going to have 6,000 people in the arena which different after the bubble and the season. Do you expect that in terms of energy does that help your energy, as well and what are you expecting from that?

TERANCE MANN: I don't really know. I've never been on a team in a playoff game in an environment like this. So I can't really tell that you answer. What I do know is that we are just going to try to be locked in and ready to try to get a win.

Q. What would you say is the whole vibe of the locker room as well as like where would you say your head's at, as you just said, this is your first time going into the playoff environment with this team. Where would you say your head's at and what's the overall vibe of the locker room?

TERANCE MANN: In terms of the vibe of the locker room, us still positive, still know we've got a lot of basketball left to play, nothing negative, nothing like that. We are still locked in very much. For me I'm just excited to be here. You know, it's a dream come true to be able to play in an NBA playoff game, so whatever comes, I'm going to take.

Q. The Mavs have capitalized on all of your mistakes to on a very high clip. They are not missing a lot of shots when you're making mistakes. Has that taken you guys aback how discipline and poised they have looked executing off your mistakes?

TERANCE MANN: Yeah, they are doing a great job. They are shooting the ball a lot better than they have been as a team so they are doing a great job capitalizing on our mistakes and playing real confident individually for their team.

So we've just got to try and stay locked in on the game plan and take them out of that as much as we can.

Q. How much of their shooting do you think is like they will come back down-to-earth eventually or do you feel like you need to go out and make them miss?

TERANCE MANN: I feel like we just got try to to make them miss, make them make those extra efforts. Try our best to run guys off the line who are shooting the ball with confidence and being able to contain and stuff like that. I think just trying to go out there and make them miss.
