Q. Take us through your round and how comfortable you felt?
OLIVIA COWAN: I was playing solid. I didn't have many bad shots out there but the ones I did have I managed to save pretty easy, so yeah, I was just hitting shot by shot and just playing hole-by-hole, really, and just not really thinking ahead. I thought it was quite, it was difficult out there, but I was thinking that there could be some low scores out there, and yeah, I haven't really seen the leaderboard yet, but I'm happy with my round, so yeah.
Q. No bogeys in a round where we haven't seen you in quite some time. What has the break been like for you and how have you been preparing for Scotland?
OLIVIA COWAN: I mean, for me, I think the break has been quite good. So I've been working a lot on my fitness and also mentally, as well, so I have the psychologist now that I've been talking to regularly, and I think he's just got me in a really good mind-set heading into these events, and I think that's probably helped me out a lot.
Q. What was the decision like to be able to get a sports psychologist? A lot of golfers have them out here. How much do you think that makes a difference? With the long break, I'm guessing that affected you mentally.
OLIVIA COWAN: Yeah, massively. I've never worked with a golf psychologist before. We did have one when we were in the national squad, but I always thought I was quite good mentally. But I think golf, it gets you in a crazy head space sometimes and there's so many up-and-downs, I feel like talking to someone about that would help you out a lot. He's worked with my uncle in tennis, so he knows him well and I just thought it was the right time to get a psychologist and talk about everything and sort that out a bit more, yeah.
Q. When did it feel real that you were getting back into a competitive mind-set?
OLIVIA COWAN: It wasn't really sure until they officially announced it. I was really hoping that it would go ahead and just practicing for these events, really. Just trying to get ready for them and was just really praying that they would go ahead, otherwise, another month break. I don't know what I would have done. I was so bored and excited to get going again.
Q. What has it been like to adjust to the new normal and having to get ready for what the course has to offer?
OLIVIA COWAN: We've had to follow the new rules and get used to it a little bit. To be honest, when you're on the golf course, everything feels normal. Obviously you have to keep your distance a bit, but that's where it feels most normal, going back into the hotel, getting your temperature checked and all that is where it feels a bit different. But all in all, I think we're just all happy to be out here, really.
Q. How will you manage with the weather and hopefully the weekend?
OLIVIA COWAN: Not trying to think about it too much, how the weather is going to be. I mean, in Scotland, you never know what it's going to turn out like. It can change from one hour to the next. So yeah, I'm just trying to keep a cool head. I mean, Scotland, Scottish golf, like you can't always hit perfect shots. Like some shots you might hit absolutely perfect and you can't hit any better and it won't turn out the way you want it to be. I guess I'm just trying to think positive the whole way around and just see what comes.
