NICK SIRIANNI: Hit it.
Q. Nick, we saw Tyler Steen working with Jason and Lane. Have you made a decision at right guard this week? If so, why?
NICK SIRIANNI: Again, waiting out to see this last day how everybody is feeling. You know, obviously you guys know Sua is on the injury report. Just got make sure we're ready to go in all cases.
No matter who is up and who is ready to go, I have confidence in all three of those guys, Cam, Sua, and Tyler.
Again, we have the rest of the day -- we have a couple days to figure out exactly what's going to happen in the game.
Q. What's the messaging been this week to the team?
NICK SIRIANNI: Just play clean football. Just play clean football. That's why I have this picture here. Oops this is Bobby Knight, right? Obviously.
What it says on his wall right here is, victory favors the team making the fewest mistakes.
I thought that was cool, you know, in the light of him passing this week. One of my coaches sent that to me.
But it's about playing clean football. What does that mean? That's our football IQ, coaches' and players' football IQ, that's our fundamentals, our detail.
So that's been the message. Because when you play a good team like we're about to play, then you better make sure you're playing clean ball.
Q. Is he a coach you studied?
NICK SIRIANNI: No, not a lot. Not a lot. I mean, obviously everyone has seen the video of him chucking the chair across the gym. I have shown a video before of him talking about Michael Jordan, that he was going to get on Michael Jordan and make sure that everybody was accountable. I thought that was a good message.
I wouldn't say I've studied him a lot though.
Q. How is Cam looking in practice this week?
NICK SIRIANNI: Yeah, he's done some good things. Been able to do a little bit more each day, and looking forward to him getting out there today.
But feel like he's obviously improved enough to be out on the field, and just going to keep getting better because of the trainers and doctors we have, and Cam is working as well to get better.
Q. Does the approach with Grant change based on husband history with concussions?
NICK SIRIANNI: Obviously don't talk a lot about anyone in the protocol or anything like that. I know that's not the question.
But anybody that goes through a head injury we're going to be extremely cautious with. Extremely cautious with.
Then with a guy with history -- again, I don't want to say -- it's kind of like I don't want to say we're extra cautious with him because then what the heck are you doing with the other guys. Same thing with the question about Dallas this week, the Cowboys.
So, yeah, we're cautious with everybody in those, make sure that they're doing the right things, because we know the long-term affects of that.
Shoot, like I said, I'm more interested about their health than winning a football game.
But, yeah, obviously with his history we're going to make sure we go about our business the right way.
Q. As far as the heritage weeks. You're wearing the Italy flag. Why is that significant to you?
NICK SIRIANNI: Yeah, obviously my dad and his family coming over from Italy -- not my dad; he was born here. I think it was his grandmother. We take a lot of pride in that as a family, from the food we eat to the family reunions we have to the talking with our hands a lot, you know, all those different things.
So, again, that's one thing we can just show recognition to our ancestors.
