Inter Miami 3, Chicago 2
Q. How frustrating is that result and considering how that game went for you guys?
GASTÓN GIMÉNEZ: Yeah, the truth is that we are very disappointed with the result and the game, especially when the moment that it happened, we had the game controlled. When we were up 2-1 we were moving the ball around and we had everything controlled.
And unfortunately we took our foot off for a second and we were distracted for just a second, and they were able to get the second goal and tie up the game, and so we weren't able to come away with the victory. We came with the illusion with the thought of winning this game, of being able to win this game, and go up in the standings and moving up. But we ended up losing. Sometimes things go this way sometimes. This is football.
But fortunately for us we have another chance in a couple days so we can look forward to another game shortly.
Q. Where did it specifically go wrong for you guys tonight? As you mentioned, your team did seem to control the game. You guys had the lead and then it sort of just went awry there. Was it simply a lack of focus? Was it something tactically that Miami did? Was there anything specific or -- or is it something that you can't put your finger on right now?
GASTÓN GIMÉNEZ: We'll surely see the mistakes after. The sensation on the field was that we had everything under control. So I don't think it was a question of tactics. The game is very dynamic. It changes throughout the game. Things change. So I don't think it was a question of anything tactical. You know, something within the game as it happens, things are changing, so maybe it was bad movement or motion by some player or something along those lines. We'll see it, we'll solve it and we'll make sure it doesn't happen again.
Q. How confident and how confident is the team that you will win some games on this road trip?
GASTÓN GIMÉNEZ: We always think that we can go into a game and win the game. We always think that every -- we always play every game to win as well.
Me personally, and I know the team does as well, we are not thinking about whether we are on the road or whether we are at home. We are always going out there to go and win whether it's a game, whether it's in training. It's something that we have learned ever since we are young kids to go out there and always give everything you've got and be going to win.
So we are going to always go in with a winning mentality and we are going to fight until the end, and we'll see where destiny takes us.
