Q. Grace, what a solid start here. Missed only one fairway and one green all day. How would you describe the round?
GRACE KIM: I think pretty solid. You know, there was a lot of good in there and maybe a three-putt, but that's not going to set me back any time.
I think just kind of doing my thing. I played well last week so just keeping that momentum going.
Q. You've had a lot of good things happening this year as well. Becoming first time major champion over the summer. First time back here since that major victory. How has getting that win impacted you as a player and a person?
GRACE KIM: I would say my confidence is definitely boosted. There was a lot of doubt at the start of the year so that is now kind of going away, which is nice.
Like Nelly said yesterday, we're all human and we do have negative thoughts. Just trying to battle away from that and just focus on good things and on my process.
I think guess we're just going to keep going with that.
Q. We were talking about how it's a little bit warmer than we've seen in years past. How do you think that's impacted the overall conditions and what we saw on the golf course today?
GRACE KIM: I think the greens are still good. Maybe we were all hitting it a little bit further which can take a little extra time trying to discuss decisions. So I guess just making sure we get a good communication going with each of our caddies and, yeah, making sure that we still feel comfortable over the shot.
