Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Sei Young Kim who just had a fabulous day on the golf course. You kind of went a little crazy on the back nine there. Tell us what kicked in there for you, all those birdies.

SEI YOUNG KIM: Front nine kind of boring play. I couldn't make the, yeah, a lot of birdies.

So anything, I didn't touch Jeeno's play. So after turned nine I was like, oh, it's not right. I have to change something. So I was like, okay, I need more birdie, then I made a lot of chance. I play more aggressive, especially back nine.

So that's why I made -- I got, yeah, take the risk and then advantage.

Q. Does it help that you're so comfortable here? I was looking at your stats. You've won here before and never finished worse than 30th. Does that help you be able to get aggressive because you know this course so well?

SEI YOUNG KIM: I mean, this tournament kind of really biggest tournament of the like Tour, so it's give to us a lot of motivation. So all the player really want to win this tournament especially, so, yeah, so that's which means keep move forward.

So, yeah, really love to play this tournament, so, yeah, that's one of the big dreams.

Q. What's been clicking for you mentally this year?

SEI YOUNG KIM: Just it's kind of follow the flow sometime but sometime the relax is help, but sometimes pushes myself helps. So it's kind of not stick to it. Yeah, it's not only one way. Depends where my position is it, so I have to control myself.

That's the biggest one of the tough mentally control, yep.

Q. On the physical side, what's been the key to your resurgence? You've played really good golf this season. What's been the biggest key for you physically in your game?

SEI YOUNG KIM: I mean, beginning I wasn't ready physically because I feel very weak. I don't know why. So I try to eat right and then work out a lot beginning the season.

After the missed cut at Evian and then especially I change my mindset and then I play better, better from -- after Evian.

Yeah, so, yeah, kind of that -- beginning season wasn't good but end of season I hope strong finish. Yeah, it's on the way, yeah.

Q. Your caddie, Paul, was saying you looked really relaxed in South Korea. Where do you think that came from?

SEI YOUNG KIM: Because my parents grew up there and I was young I stayed that location a couple years.

So my grandma, my grandpa, all my family is from there. So to feel like very comfortable.

And the south accent, like country accents, it's very unique so when I hear that I'm kind of funny. Yeah, so it's feel like atmosphere and everything is really relaxed, so when the people -- a lot of spectator at the Korea, so I feel like, yeah, everybody is like family.

Yeah, that's help me relax. Yeah, it's good.

Q. You obviously know what it's like to win a major championship under pressure. How does it compare, a major championship compare to the CME with the $4 million on the line?

SEI YOUNG KIM: It's similar. I mean, when I win the BMW that's the biggest tough because I didn't win for the -- I don't have the win more than five years. So after that, spend that time and the first win, it's really tough.

I don't know what's going to happen like CME or major tournament in the future, but it's going to be similar, yeah, because I have a lot of experience. But to me BMW was more tough the imagine because I overcome the tough time.
