Q. All right, joining me today after the final round of the CME Group Tour Championship is Steph Kyriacou. Hole-in-one today. Just talk us through that.
STEPHANIE KYRIACOU: Yeah, I hit a 9-iron and actually the girl in my group I played with, Hye-Jin, she had one on 5. So when I had mine I was like this is like a joke; this never happens.
Yeah, it was a pretty ten-out-of-ten shot. Hitting right towards it. I picked up my tee and went to the side and everyone started cheering. Couldn't see it go in but heard it from the cheers.
Q. Was this your first hole-in-one on Tour?
STEPHANIE KYRIACOU: Second. I had one earlier this year at the British Open, so picking good tournaments to have them at. Unfortunately not the good holes. Didn't get the car. Maybe next time.
Q. So you're familiar with the CME Group Cares Challenge where every time someone on Tour makes a hole-in-one CME donates $20,000 to St. Jude. How does that make you feel knowing your hole-in-one contributed to a cause like that?
STEPHANIE KYRIACOU: Yeah, really good. I saw the birdie thing but I didn't think like what a hole-in-one would do. Yeah, I'm glad I could contribute.
Q. Obviously this is the Tour Championship. You finished out the season with a total bang. Can you talk about how your season went and what you're looking forward to in the offseason?
STEPHANIE KYRIACOU: Yeah, I think my season went pretty good. Some goals that I ticked off and some that I didn't. Overall this was my best year on Tour so far with ranking, stats, and all that stuff.
So I'm excited for next year. I think each year I've gotten better. Yeah, excited to see what's to come.
Q. Obviously celebrated your birthday yesterday. Talk about that.
STEPHANIE KYRIACOU: My birthday?
Q. Yeah.
STEPHANIE KYRIACOU: Yeah, it was a pretty good birthday. I mean, I played with Gracie, who is one of my best mates like growing up. Known her for ages. Staying with Grace and Greeny. I had a bunch of people over. We all had pizzas. It was nice. I had a nice birthday cake, which was good.
But, yeah, being away from family and home on your birthday sucks, but when you got your family here it's nice.
Q. What was your reaction to Hye-Jin's ace on the fifth?
STEPHANIE KYRIACOU: I was stoked. I was like oh, my God. You don't ever really see a hole-in-one, so I was stoked. And then, yeah, when I had mine I was just like, what is going on today?
Q. Was it you that had the funky one at the AIG Women's Open?
STEPHANIE KYRIACOU: Yeah.
Q. Just your luck this season.
STEPHANIE KYRIACOU: Yeah, yes, the golf gods were watching over me with the hole-in-ones.
