Q. I just said a moment ago, I'm curious as to your state of mind right now. You went absolutely through the wringer today.
MEGHAN KHANG: Yeah, I mean, Albane is such a great player that you never count her out. For me, I was rolling the rock pretty well the first nine, and then she stuffed it really close on 11 and made some really good putts.
Felt that I kind of gave her a couple holes. That's golf. That's match play. She definitely had the momentum coming in. Even on 17, like I thought she made the putt for birdie and I'm going, that's a great shot downwind to get it that close.
You know, DT definitely was trying to keep me positive, even though I am sure it was hard sometimes. Definitely happy to get the win but was in stressful fashion.
Q. You've played a lot of match play; I have as well. There is probably no worse feeling than having a big lead and watching it fritter away. What were the feelings, emotions, and how in the end do you make sense of this?
MEGHAN KHANG: Yeah, I mean, being 5-up after 10 and kind of watching it slowly dwindle away, I told DT it was heartbreaking. Kind of feeling like I gave her some holes. Coming down 18, obviously she tee'd off first and I hit second, and of course, follow her right into the bunker and then I kind of flipped a switch and I was like, you know, she hit a great shot out of that lie, these greens are tough, but I kind of saw where it ended up and I told him, if she makes that birdie, great, but she's going to have to make it to win the hole.
Like he said, we were never out of it. Honestly it took a lot to not go towards the pin on that third shot, but being here a few years, you learn to use the slopes to your advantage.
