Quick Quotes

Q. Okay, here with Lucy Li after her victory in round two at the T-Mobile Match Play. Can you just walk us through your round and what you kind of saw out there?

LUCY LI: Yeah, I played really well yesterday, and so I was just trying to keep the same momentum out there today.

Started off kind of slow. Was like 2-down after 3 or 4, something like that, but I just kept doing what I was doing and I started putting it really well I think on like 6 or 7, but that was really nice to get some putts to roll in and just hitting it good, and so out here you really have to do everything well. So it was nice to kind of get a good roll going on the back nine.

Q. And can you talk about what's going through your head when you are 2-down in match play? Just what kind of thoughts are you reminding yourself when you're out there to get it back?

LUCY LI: Honestly, I -- like nothing. There is so much golf left to be played and this course is so tough. You have to keep your head down and just focus on every shot.

If you're up or if you're down, it's the same, and so just trusting the process and making sure that you give every shot your full commitment.

Q. You talked about you just moved here. I guess why did you choose to call this place home and what's it been like to move?

LUCY LI: Yeah, really happy to be a homeowner now. It's really exciting. Just Las Vegas, being close to California, obviously taxes. But there is really good Asian food around here. We were just talking about that. Really good Chinese food. My parents are really happy that I moved to Vegas and not like Florida or something.

I'm still really new here. I moved in like literally this weekend, so I'm still getting to know the city and I haven't really done much this week because this is kind of a really tiring week and it's a really short turnaround in the last week.

So maybe after this week is over I'll be able to do a little more exploring.

Q. What went into the decision to move to Vegas? Did you consider other places?

LUCY LI: Yeah, I mean, I think I definitely considered Florida, just different grass out there, bermuda. But it's just so far away from California, so that was really the main thing, was being close to California. There is good Asian food and things like that.

So, yeah.

Q. So do you have a home course yet here?

LUCY LI: No, I just moved in last week so not yet. I'm trying to figure that one out. I know summer -- because we have such a busy schedule I'm really not going to be here much, maybe a couple weeks before like the summer really sets in and it gets really hot, so that's going to be a project for me mostly for the offseason this year.
