Q. All right, here with Carlota after her second round victory here at the T-Mobile Match Play. Can you just talk us through the match? Definitely looked like a little bit of back and forth. Tell us how you're feeling.
CARLOTA CIGANDA: Yeah, it was a very close match. I think I was either 1-up or she was 1-up. No one got to 2-up until the end. Hira played great. She made some really great putts. I feel like played pretty good as well.
I bogeyed 11, but after that I thought I played very solid out there. Yeah, happy with the win, especially to have a chance tomorrow.
Q. Yeah, looked like there was a bit of relief almost. Is that what you were feeling at the end?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: Yeah, at least giving myself a chance for tomorrow. Of course it's going to be tough against Lydia, but at least I can -- if I win I'm going to have a chance to play on the weekend, so that's what I want.
Q. What is it about match play that you just enjoy? You're known for your Solheim Cup matches and the energy you always bring to match play.
CARLOTA CIGANDA: Yeah, I love match play. I think to feel like a Sunday. It's just either you win or you lose. When you play stroke play it's four days, Thursday, Friday, but match play is just, yeah, just feels like a Sunday to me every day.
So, yeah, I love playing. I think it's a little different strategy and sometimes more aggressive; sometimes a bit more conservative.
But it's great fun.
Q. Lydia was saying she's looking forward to playing you but you're going to be out-driving her every hole and she's going to have to hit precise irons. Is that how you look at the match?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: I mean, I play with her in Singapore, and, yeah, it is true that I hit it farther than her. At the same time, she's so good with her hybrids, her irons, putting, everything. She's such a complete player that I know it's going to be a tough match.
I'm excited for the challenge.
Q. So your whole pod is 1-1 going into tomorrow, so not only do you probably have to beat Lydia, then you probably have to have a playoff with whoever wins the other match. How do you pace yourself?
CARLOTA CIGANDA: I mean, first, I have to beat Lydia. If I get to the playoff I'll think what I have to do there.
First have a good dinner, night's sleep, and then tomorrow, yeah, try to go out there and have a good strategy and try to play my best so I can beat Lydia.
