Q. Here with Maja Stark after her second round at the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards. Nice 3&2 victory over Bailey Tardy today. Just take us through the day.

MAJA STARK: It was a tough match. She played really well in the beginning and then 8, 9, 10, made three birdies and got -- and I went from 1-up to 1-down.

So I was just trying to stay in the moment and just think of if I do my thing, then maybe she is going to eventually start playing worse.

I had some good up and downs and the wind was really picking up and swirling all day.

Q. I asked Madelene Sagstrom this question. As a Solheim Cup veteran now and you've got a lot of match play under your belt as well, how much do you lean on that experience versus playing the match, playing the course in front of you?

MAJA STARK: I think it's been really good to have played a lot of match play before, and especially when you start getting shaky. You know, it's very different playing for yourself than playing for a team.

But you have the same emotions out there. You have like five-footers that are -- that feel huge. Feels like if you don't make it then it's the end of the world, and that's just so different between match play and stroke play.

It's nice to know kind of your keys to handle the pressure and the stress that that puts on you.

Q. It looks like you have the only match tomorrow that's 2-0 versus a 2-0. Your knock-out rounds begin tomorrow. Does that change strategy or what does that do?

MAJA STARK: No, it's not going to affect the strategy at all. I don't know how Hyo Joo has been playing, but since she won last week I'm guessing she's been playing really well.

But I'm just going to try to focus on my game and take one shot at a time.

Q. You mentioned yesterday your hands were shaking. How were they today?

MAJA STARK: Pretty much the same. I had a lot of par putts that were like five feet and they never get more comfortable.

I mean, the course is so hard that it feels like you're just saving all the time. Like you don't get many birdie opportunities out there. Yeah, just feels like you're holding on for dear life the whole time.

Q. Are there any spots on the course where you feel you can relax? Any holes that are, well, here is a birdie chance?

MAJA STARK: Maybe the par-5s are okay, but it's because you can reach most of them, or at least I could reach them in two, I think all of them today. There are creeks everywhere. There are run-offs and slopes, so it's never an easy birdie out here.

Q. The fact you had to pause and think makes me know the real answer. It's just a beast everywhere.

MAJA STARK: Yeah, it really is.

Q. One last one from me. International Crown year. Is there a little more emphasis on honing in on match play skills this week?

MAJA STARK: I haven't thought about that. I just been thinking that I am very excited that there is going to be even more match play this year.

I was talking with my caddie and we said going up our last hole how good would it be if it was match play every week, because we just love it, the excitement of it, the new emotions you don't really get in stroke play.

So, no, this is good practice and I wish we had more match play, but I don't think I need to work on anything specific when it comes to match play.
