Q. All right, here with Nataliya, another player heading to the round of 16 tomorrow after your victory today against Albane.
Just walk us through the match. You were down most of the match and kind of had a comeback there at the end.
NATALIYA GUSEVA: Yeah, definitely. I mean, Albane was playing really well and I made quite a bit of mistakes.
At some point in the game, you know, I have that feeling like I'm giving a lot to her. I was like 3-down with I think five or six to play.
I knew that I needed some magic, and that's when I holed that putt, which was like 45 foot or something like that.
At that moment I thought that I'm going to win this match. I was just fighting until the end. I never gave up. I was just in there and I knew it's going to happen. I just needed to trust the moment and process.
Yeah, now I'm just happy with heading into the round of 16, so, yeah.
Q. Was there anything, too, that brought about that magic? Did you get any inspiration? Anything your caddie said or something just inside of you?
NATALIYA GUSEVA: I think it was something inside of me. I just knew, I was like, okay, I kind of don't really want to go home, back to Florida. My boyfriend came from the tournament and he's like, well, yeah, whatever. If it's not going to go your way I'm going to see you soon.
I'm like, no, I don't want to see you soon. I want to go and play the round of 16. Like I don't care. I'm just going to fight until the end and be out here and enjoy and have fun in the matches.
So, yeah.
Q. And there was a possibility you would be headed to a playoff if things didn't go your way. Was that on your mind the last couple holes?
NATALIYA GUSEVA: Oh, well, definitely. I was down I think three with -- or down two with three to play, so I knew that I have to -- I had to just play miracle golf in the last three holes.
When Albane made mistake on the last hole, I mean, she gave made a gift for me to go and not to be in the playoff.
So, yeah.
Q. I was going to ask about -- I was watching 12 and 13 and with your body language didn't look good at all. Did you have a mental talk with yourself going into the 14th tee? What clicked for you right there?
NATALIYA GUSEVA: Definitely. Yeah, I knew that if I'm going to be -- if I'm just going to give up like right now, I'm not going to be happy in the end of the day. I will be just like, oh, you know I gave up, and that's kind of the worst feeling that any golfer can have.
So I kind of had a talk with me. I got to fight until the end. Anything can happen in match play. Today the conditions were super windy so it was way harder to play. I mean, it's the type of course where you can make a good shot and end up with a bogey or double.
So that was kind of -- it motivated me, and just being first time out here, it's just awesome, and I just try to just stay in the moment and enjoy it.
Q. And can you talk about the putt on 18, that first one? I'm sure you haven't seen that one before; I've seen it out here a lot. Can you talk about how difficult that was?
NATALIYA GUSEVA: Yeah, I feel like it was 55 foot or something like that. It was definitely a long putt. I knew I just needed to do my best to leave myself about like ten feet in. I think I had like about nine feet and I putted first.
Whenever I feel like I'm putting first and I know like I'm going to make it, I have to make it, I know that my opponent is probably going to miss it. So like I kind of put the (indiscernible), so with the putt, when I made like the putt.
But, yeah, it was definitely difficult. No huge left-to-righter and 55-footer is always like hard to make putts, yeah.
Q. And do you feel -- how do you feel about Megan having to warm up for a match that's not happening?
NATALIYA GUSEVA: I know, it sucks, but I can't do anything about it. I did my best to not go into playoff. And I'm sorry, Megan. Yeah, I'm going into round of 16, so...
Q. Last one. I was going to ask with it being your first time at this event, how proud are you to advance to the weekend?
NATALIYA GUSEVA: Yeah, I'm so proud. I'm also so proud of my caddie. I think we did a great job. His second week on my bag and I feel like we're just progressing every event. He's learning about my game as well.
I will just enjoy every moment of it, yeah, anything can happen, so let's see.
