Quick Quotes

Q. Okay, here with Jeeno after another victory here at the T-Mobile Match Play. Just talk to us a little bit about your rounds against Hye-Jin today.

JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I think today it's pretty windy out there, and then I just say like be patient. I think today my putter was working really well.

Q. And you held the lead the entire time. What does that do for your confidence going into the weekend?

JEENO THITIKUL: I mean, like to me every match is different. I know like I have been waiting for this match from hole No. 1 until like finish, but still tomorrow different players that I have to play against with.

But definitely have confidence, but like every day will be different. Also the course different. Players different. It's going to play different for sure.

But like still going to give my best out there though.

Q. It looks like you're going to play that Nataliya tomorrow, just kind of first time here, just playing with no care kind of. Is that something that makes it more difficult than someone that's been out here a lot and knows the course?

JEENO THITIKUL: I think I play with no care as well. I mean, like this is my first time making from the group, because like when I played I just lost two match before and then not get into the like, how you say, like Saturday then.

I just play with no care since day one because I know like everything can happen. It's golf. No matter what ranking you are, it's no matter you know your game is. It's depend on day by day.

Because it's going to be like some days you play really good but someone play like just one shot better than you and then like she just won it.

So I just think both of us play with no care.

Q. You mentioned the other day that your whole attitude was to be really chill this week.

JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I'm pretty chill.

Q. Yeah. Have you been able to stay really chill?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah. Still. (Smiling.) Because I know it's match play. Even like I'm not going to make it to the weekend I was just like, fine, you go back to Dallas and having good fun, eating bunch of sushi.

It's great. It's so great to be like playing in the weekend because I know it's going to be more tough as well. I know in the group it's already tough, but on the weekend everyone just eyeing on the win.

But it's just like a lot of things to go through, like four more round if you want to be a winner. Four more like players you have to like beat them, yeah.

Q. It's been a tough week for the top players. Do you feel your confidence is growing each day out here?

JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah. I think me compared to myself last three years, like totally different how I play this course. I think I play way better than my rookie year.

Like I said, I don't think it's because of the top player not playing well, but I think because it's not a matter of the ranking here. You know, maybe the top players is playing well but other player just like play a little better, which is like hold the win.

So I think to me match play and stroke play, it's kind of a little different why they count score. It's just like goes hole by hole for me. You can win the match, which is just like you are not really shoot the score 18 hole better than others. It's depend of the hole.
