THE MODERATOR: Joined by Team Biggie Smalls, Lexi and Megan, after the first round at the Dow Championship. Take us through the round today. What are some of the highlights?
MEGAN KHANG: Honestly, playing with Lexi is a good time. I joked with Lexi I'm going to change my name to Lexi this week because we got a lot of, go Lexis, and I'm like, I'm here too.
No, it's super cool out there. The fans are great. I feel great feeding off that atmosphere. I put Lexi in some good putts, and she had the speed down to a T, and I didn't really have to make too many long ones.
LEXI THOMPSON: I didn't put her in the best of position on some long holes, but she hit some amazing shots and hit some really great putts down the stretch especially.
Q. How much will the strategy change tomorrow knowing it's four ball versus alternate shot today?
MEGAN KHANG: I told Lexi I wasn't going to be dumb-aggressive today for her. I might get a little dumb-aggressive if it calls for it.
But again, probably not changing too much. It will be nice to play our own balls throughout and try to get into more of a groove.
I think overall we played alternate shot pretty well. We kept it pretty loose out there, lots of fun. Definitely had a lot of smiles. I think we're both going to take turns giving each other the green light to go for certain shots that we probably normally wouldn't.
Q. First time around the track this week in actual play. What were your thoughts on the course and conditions and all that?
LEXI THOMPSON: The course is in great shape for us this week. It got a little windier as we turned to the back nine. It's supposed to be windy again tomorrow.
Course is in great shape. I knew coming out here for alternate shot that we just had a make to a few birdies and pars were good. Just tried to stay consistent and be patient out there.
