THE MODERATOR: Joined by Lauren and Brooke here at the third round at the Dow Championship. 63 today, versus a 70 in your first alternate shot. What was the difference you saw out there today versus Thursday?
LAUREN HARTLAGE: Yeah, 66 today.
BROOKE MATTHEWS: 63?
Q. I was trying to give you guys more credit.
LAUREN HARTLAGE: We had a good start today, so I think that kind of helped free us up. We just kind of -- we get along really well. If we ever hit a bad shot, we never feel any pressure from the other person.
We just want to help each other out the whole time. So it's just a lot of fun out there.
BROOKE MATTHEWS: I agree. It's always nice when you get off to a little bit of a hot start. Birdied 3 out of our first 5, made a couple good up-and-downs, and just kind of cruised in.
It was a lot of stress-free pars. Lauren's lag putting was really good, so I had a lot of tap-ins today, which was nice.
Yeah, it was just fun out there.
Q. Lauren, I know you said you get along real well. How did this partnership come to be, and what's the team name?
LAUREN HARTLAGE: We played our rookie year together, what, four years together?
BROOKE MATTHEWS: Yeah, 2022.
LAUREN HARTLAGE: And we always said if we're both playing out here at the same time, we'd always play together. We played well. That was like the only tournament we played well our rookie year.
We like this tournament, and we've just been really good friends ever since.
For our team name, Team Woo Pig Louie, Woo Pig Sooie is the Arkansas chant, and then Louie is the local mascot. So we just kind of put it together.
Q. How do you guys complement each other's game?
BROOKE MATTHEWS: I feel like, at least this week, we're both hitting a lot of fairways and a lot of greens. Even in four ball it's just we were always in it.
Alternate shot, I think we missed like a combined like three fairways, so we were never that far out of it. We're a member of the same course in Florida for the winter, so we're so used to playing with each other.
Every week we're playing practice rounds, so I think we're just comfortable.
Q. Heading into another four ball -- I always get them mixed up, but best ball tomorrow. What's going to maybe be the strategy knowing a win is potentially on the line for you guys?
LAUREN HARTLAGE: I think we're just going to have fun. It's fun to be in contention and playing with each other like we do almost every day when we're at home. We know each other's game. So give ourselves good looks and see what happens. Play it shot by shot.
