Q. How do you do it to be so competitive in major at 39?
ANNA NORDQVIST: I don't know. I mean, like I've gone through hell and back the last couple years, so I'm really proud of myself for never giving up, for fighting those days when it seems really dark.
But, yeah, just been really nice to start feeling like myself a little bit this week, or this year in general.
My caddie has been so supportive. He stuck with me the last two years when I was struggling and didn't seem to get anything out of the game.
Yeah, to shoot 66 today and come out with a good finish, these are the moments I practice so hard for. Just really pleased with myself and proud of myself.
Q. Going to be the captain of the Solheim Cup for the European Team. (Regarding her own game and performance and the team's performance.)
ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, I mean, that's something that's been really hard. It's been a learning curve for me too. Looking back at it I don't know if I took a little bit too much on.
But I also embraced it. I wanted to do this journey with the girls and just be out here and know what's going on and just be able to be supportive.
Is I'm proud of the work I've done so far. I mean, we are a couple more weeks and the team selection, I think it's going to feel better once the team is selected and just can focus on the Solheim Cup.
Q. Talking about the selection, do you think you going to be one of the pick as a captain?
ANNA NORDQVIST: No. I mean, when I took on the captaincy role, like I was very content with and very proud to have done nine, so doing a tenth one didn't feel like it was going to change my life because my life perspective changed quite a bit the last couple years.
Couple of the girls have told me lately that I should consider it. Just hasn't really crossed my mind. I think it's hard to do both. But it's nice to see that I can show some good form.
Q. We used to see Celine in Solheim Cup. What do you think about other French players, some young players now on the LPGA? What do you think about the potential?
ANNA NORDQVIST: Yeah, you a couple knocking on the door. Perrine Delacour and Nastasia -- I'm not going to try to pronounce the last name -- and Pauline.
So basically three girls knocking on the door even this year.
