Q. Charley, many congratulations. First points on the board for Team Europe. How satisfying does that feel right now?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, it's good. It's been a frustrating week. Like, me and Lottie played pretty well, and we just can't hole a putt. We played against some, you know, tough opponents. But, yeah, feels good to get on the board and hopefully there's a lot of blue on there at the minute, so I'll go out and watch.
Q. Given the frustrations you had this week, what was the mindset heading out today?
CHARLEY HULL: Try and hole more putts than I have the last few days, because I've been giving myself so many chances, so that's been quite frustrating. Obviously didn't hole a lot today, but I was just very steady, hit a lot of greens. The weather was pretty bad, so I just kept in there.
Q. What was the level of intensity and motivation for you to go out obviously leading the troops and getting blue, the board turning blue, and setting the tone for the rest of the day?
CHARLEY HULL: Definitely, a hundred percent. But I played against Megan, I really like Megan, she's a lovely girl, and it was a good game out there, good fun. Hopefully, now they can see one point's on the board and the rest can follow.
Q. How hard was it to put everything that happened in the over the last two days behind you? You played some really great golf and didn't get on the board.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, I spoke to Mel and she was like, you know that you're the third player on both teams who have made the most birdies this week. You've just come against Yealimi Noh who literally holed everything the last few days. And I was like, yeah, true. To be fair, we are playing well, we just wasn't holing enough putts. But I think that's match play for you.
Q. And your captain has had great faith to put you out first to put blue on the board. Did you ask for that position?
CHARLEY HULL: No, I just leave it to the captain. She's the captain for a reason, so I let her deal with all that and she's done a good job.
Q. And you've done a good job. How proud are you today that you came out and did what you did?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, I'm happy that I've got a point this week, even though it's only one and a half points that I got, but it's better than none.
