Quick Quotes

Q. A pair of 69s, 6-under through 36 holes. What was working so well?

HYE-JIN CHOI: So I think I started off really strong but then towards the middle of the game I kind of lost momentum. But then I made an eagle, so I think that's when the momentum picked up and I was able to round it off nicely.

Q. Walk me through the eagle if you don't mind.

HYE-JIN CHOI: So it was a par 5 hole but it was rather short. So I thought I could go for a two on but I kind of missed the tee shot, and the second shot wasn't so good. So I had a lot more to go in terms of distance than I had initially wanted.

So I thought if I birdied this hole, that would be sufficient and that would be enough. But the eagle went in, so I was really lucky and that kind of created a flow to the holes that followed.

Q. Obviously this is your first BMW Ladies Championship as an LPGA Tour member. To play this well in front of your home country, how exciting has that been for you and how much have you enjoyed that?

HYE-JIN CHOI: So I used to play in Korea and for a year now, I have played mostly in the States. I've missed the cheering and support that I get from my fans. Now in Korea, especially with this championship now, even when I'm not doing so well, they really encourage me and support me so I've been able to really feed off that sort of positive vibe. I think I'm having a lot of fun.
