Quick Quotes

Q. Here after the second round of the BMW Ladies Championship, could you talk a little bit about your play today?

NASA HATAOKA: You know, my tee shot is really good. I only missed two fairways but both from the first cut. Then iron shots, really nice. Putting a little bit came up short a few putts but I think still pretty good with bogey-free round.

Q. Could you talk about, you feel like you were hitting them really close on the greens?

NASA HATAOKA: 15 to 20 feet.

Q. Can you talk about the wind? A lot of people were worried before heading out today; were you one of them?

NASA HATAOKA: When I was warming up, it was so strong, 30 to 40 miles an hour. It came down after we start, and yeah, it was the opposite side as yesterday but yeah, I was really focused on my game.

Q. Can you talk about how that affected your mindset when you were warming up? Were you more relaxed heading into the round because of it more nervous?

NASA HATAOKA: I think focused but a little bit nervous. It was really fun with Somi and Saka today.

Q. What do you think of this golf course?

NASA HATAOKA: So pretty, like nice view, especially after 15, and then, yeah, I really enjoyed it.

Q. What do you think about the last few holes coming in? There's a lot of ocean to see and everything. What do you think about those holes? Are they tough?

NASA HATAOKA: I feel like a little bit heavier wind. So that's why I hit a little extra distance.

So I think it works good.

Q. And then lastly, too, is there anything you've been working on in your game? Do you know why do you think you got this score today? Was there anything in your swing you've been working on before this week?

NASA HATAOKA: I'm trying more wider target areas. I don't want to miss the short-side. It's because really tough up-and-down from short-side. So yeah, I think my irons are really good.

Q. And the wire target areas on all your clubs, or just the driver?

NASA HATAOKA: Irons.

Q. And do you think that is helping you mentally?

NASA HATAOKA: Yeah, it's because my putting has been good since AIG, so yeah, that's why I think my irons are good, too.
